Welcome! I am a
fourth year graduate student in the Suding Lab in the Department of
Ecology and
Evolutionary Biology at UC Irvine. I am interested in examining
the mechanisms by which invasive plant species respond and adapt to
their new environments. In particular, how the genetic diversity of
exotic populations may contribute to their invasive success. Check out
my research page and the Suding Lab website for more information on my
current work. In addition to research I have a passion for teaching and
scientific outreach. Currently, I am involved with the NSF GK-12
Innovating Education in the Biological Sciences Program at UC Irvine
where I get the opportunity to bring innovative
scientific research to high school biology classrooms.
