Jessica Dawn Pratt
I am a doctoral candidate in the UCI School of Biological Sciences studying Ecology and Evolutionary Biology in the Mooney Lab ( I hold a B.S. in Biology from Grand Valley State University and an M.S. in Zoology from North Carolina State University where I studied the conservation value of shaded coffee plantations for resident birds in Puerto Rico. My current interests lie broadly in the applied fields of habitat conservation and ecological restoration. My dissertation work is focused on understanding how plant responses to environmental change scale up to affect animal communities and what the implications of these responses are for habitat restoration.
